Turtle Migration Coast Of Michoacán

Description

The turtle migration in Michoacán is one of Mexico’s most remarkable natural events. Every year, thousands of sea turtles travel across the Pacific Ocean and return to the beaches of Colola, Ixtapilla, and Playa Azul to nest and lay their eggs. Guided by instinct, these turtles return to the same coastline where they were born, completing an ancient migration cycle that has existed for millions of years.
Take part in a meaningful conservation activity focused on protecting sea turtles. Participants assist in carefully relocating vulnerable turtle eggs from nesting beaches to protected hatcheries, helping increase their chances of survival. With luck we may witness the exciting moment when hatchlings emerge and make their journey to the ocean. This educational experience offers insight into sea turtle life cycles, local conservation efforts, and the importance of preserving marine ecosystems while creating unforgettable memories along The Enchanting Michoacan Coast.
